DEE SNIDER Talks 'Growing Up Twisted'
June 4, 2010Alex Zalben of UGO.com recently conducted an interview with TWISTED SISTER frontman Dee Snider about Dee's family's upcoming reality show, "Growing Up Twisted", for A&E, set to air later this year. An excerpt from the chat follows below.
UGO.com: So why do a reality show with your family?
Dee Snider: Well, we're doing it for the family. People have been inquiring... Talking... I actually had a deal years ago to do something. Our motivation for doing it at this time is to basically to jumpstart our children's entertainment careers. They're all going into the business. So that's really my motivation for doing it, not so much for myself."
UGO.com: Tell us about your family — who will we see on the show?
Dee: Jesse is my oldest. He's an aspiring singer, a musician, and also an up and coming comic book writer, voiceover guy, semi-pro football player and you know, just a pretty amazing kid.
The next brother in line is Shane, who is a comedic actor and aspiring comedy writer.
After him comes Cody, who is a writer/director, a filmmaker.
The youngest is Cheyenne, who's thirteen years old — and while she has a lot of interests — she's interested in music, sings — she also takes after her mom, very interested in fashion and things like that as well. So we're not so much promoting her career on the show, though her interests and abilities do poke their head in every once in a while.
And Suzette, my wife. We've been together thirty-four years. She is the woman behind the man. She is an FIT graduate, clothing designer, professional hair and make-up artist, and she's been working with my band TWISTED SISTER since day one, she was literally fifteen years old when I met her.
